hi, and welcome to the site of PHOTOGRAPHY BY DANA & NICOLA SWEENEY. we are a husband and wife photography team based in halifax, nova scotia. we shoot weddings, families/kids, sailing, and any other random projects that catch our eyes here and all over the world. this site (www.dnphoto.ca) is dedicated to our wedding photography. We are users of the Nikon Imaging system and we arrive with our location

Our wedding packages start at $1850 CAD and always include DVD’s of all of the high resolution photos from your day plus a link to a slideshow of photos from your wedding day, so that family and friends can share in your joy. in terms of our vision for wedding photography, we try to blend romantic portraiture with a modern photojournalistic approach.
the "photojournalistic" approach is the modern buzz in wedding photography, but it is important to understand what it means. photojournalism doesn't just mean a whole bunch of candid photos. photojournalism is deliberate visual storytelling and it's an awesome style, but sometimes people ask for that style without a good understanding of the difference from traditional wedding photography.
