Cassandra + Ken: Braving our cold spring
A few weeks ago, just before it started to warm up, Cassandra and Ken travelled to Halifax from Toronto to finalize a few details for their upcoming wedding at Oak Island Resort. We headed out to Sir Sanford Flemming Park (the Dingle) for their engagement session. They were troopers and braved the cold, but the smiles on their faces let you know that they were enjoying themselves!
We can’t say enough about the benefits of an engagement session with your wedding photographer. Almost always there are ‘nerves’ and ‘stiffness’, but by the end of the session, we could very well have you dancing in front of the camera without a care in the world. It’s that ability to become comfortable with having the camera on you, and with our directions, that can ease wedding day jitters. And let’s not forget about how great it can be just to get out and enjoy each others company for a couple of hours! The added benefit of the session is you get lots of awesome photos of the two of you! Not the blurry, low resolution ones from your iPhones etc., but actual photos you can print and put in frames, use for save-the-date notices or for the invitations themselves, or for the ever-popular guest book and wedding website.
In the next couple of months we will be getting out with lots of our wedding clients for engagement sessions. Never have we heard that the session was not fun or of benefit, and we so LOVE seeing the guests books with photos we took. So if you’ve been sitting on the fence about having an engagement session, just do it. You will not regret it 🙂
Congratulations Cassandra and Ken, we look forward to seeing you in August!
