Ashley and Michael chose the well-known Old Orchard Inn as the location for their Nova Scotia destination wedding. This couple lives in Newfoundland, and came to be surrounded by the sweeping rural vistas, warm spring sunshine, and famous apple blossoms of the Annapolis Valley.
Their timing was perfect for the sometimes unpredictable arrival of the apple blossoms, but the trees hung heavy with blossoms, and offered a classic and beautiful Annapolis valley backdrop.
A really unique part of this wedding was that there was some Newfoundland tradition transported to Nova Scotia. With some shots of good ol’ Newfoundland Screech and some ceremonial Puffin kissing, there was a “Screeching in” to make some new honorary Newfoundlanders. And check out the awesome tire cake that plays homage to Michael’s love of off-road motor sports. After the dinner, everyone moved to The Old Orchard barn with Dance Express DJ to dance and celebrate with Ashley and Michael.
This amazing Valley summer day was was capped with a lovely sunset, and a few evening photos, of course!
It’s always nice to get back home to the valley to celebrate a wedding.
Congratulations, and all the best to this fun couple
