Neither Samara or Tyler are from PEI, but they chose the Rodd Brudenell River resort in Prince Edward Island as the site for their destination wedding. We love it when people look to the Maritimes as a wedding destination, there are so many amazing places to visit and enjoy. Surrounded by a golf course and that stereotypical red sand/mud, the clouds, deep blue skies, and greenery all combined for luscious photographs.
The wedding day was filled with a mixture of showers and sun, and just when it looked like there was a weather window for the outdoor ceremony and all the guests got seated, the skies opened with a heavy shower for 5-6 minutes. Everyone hid under their umbrellas and kept a smile on their faces. At least the bride and groom were able to stay dry. This couple broke with tradition, and walked down the aisle as partners, which was a cool way to partake in the moment together. Even though the heavy rains held off for the remainder of the day, if you look closely at the ceremony photos, you can see the drops in the air.
The skies cleared after the ceremony and we were able to take advantage of the beautiful surroundings to photograph this couple and their wedding party. Oh, those red lobster socks Tyler wore-awesome! We were even treated to a gorgeous sunset for evening photos down by the river.
Thank you, Samara and Tyler, for having us be part of your wedding day, we had a really great time. The smiles and laughter were infectious!
